Battleground New York Action (BGNYA) is a non-partisan 501(c)(4) social welfare organization dedicated to increasing education, advocacy, and civic engagement among New Yorkers, particularly those who have been historically disconnected from the political process.

Priorities

Battleground New York Action aims to strengthen civic participation in New York State by: 

• Launching a Communications Hub to coordinate movement partners’ messaging and amplify local stories. 

• Building community power through site-based deep organizing that develops local leaders, aligns coalitions, and engages in voter registration and issue advocacy. 

• Empowering New Yorkers to engage with our democracy through issue education and advocacy. 

  Our work is focused in Long Island, Hudson Valley, and the Southern Tier.
